About Us

Friendship Home’s mission is to enrich the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities and their families by providing quality respite care and support services in a safe and caring environment. Since our inception, Friendship Home has been working to build the Home with a Heart, a retreat-style center located on grounds donated by the United Church of Christ that offers day and evening educational, vocational and social programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and their families, as well as short-term overnight retreats, ranging from one night to two weeks. After ten years of working toward this goal, Friendship Home opened the doors to the lower level program and activity area of our Home in July 2010. We will open our respite and retreat center in January, 2012.
