Program Director for Friendship Club and Community Liason/Supervisor for the Bridges to Work Program

Debbie has been helping to nurture and grow Friendship Club since its inception in 1999. She served as a volunteer, staff member and became the Program Director in 2000. She grew the club from eight members to its current 113 (summer 2011) in 6 groups, including a satellite location in Quincy.

Debbie has an Associates Degree and after a long career in business, began to work with children with disabilities in the Hanover School system where she served for three years and more recently at the South Shore Collaborative where she worked for three years. Debbie left the Collaborative to help us to launch the Bridges to Work Program in 2009. She has helped to grow the program and build partnerships within the community that help us to offer unique internship and paid work opportunities for our program participants.

Debbie is a key member of the leadership team and currently serves as Program Director for Friendship Club and Community Liason/Supervisor for the Bridges to Work Program. She provides supervision to our Vocational Advocates and Direct Support Professionals. She continues to be actively involved as a volunteer with Camp Sunshine, South Shore’s Hospice Walk and St. Mary’s Church in Hanover. She is the mother of two and the proud grandmother of two young grand-daughters.
